Depression doesn't have to be loud and proud, sometimes you just find yourself staring angrily into nothing

He had a vision that everything will be gone soon and nothing mattered, then he stopped caring, about anything.

As a kid, I thought this was just yet another normal episode, but still, even I didn't know this stuffs when I'm younger but I can feel what the episode is trying to show. Going back after years after watching Clarence, this hits hard and nostalgic

I like how innocent Clarence's show is, he talks about basic childhood, there's nothing extraordinary, it's just about a child in his world of imagination and how the purity of children makes them see everything in such an optimistic way, for example in this episode "little buddy" shows how a child goes so far as to take a toy so serious that it even changes his personality and becomes depressed, this is one of the deepest shows in the cartoon

"Dear Pillow, thank you for holding my tears"
"Dear Walls, thank you for letting me get my anger out on you"
"Dear Dreams, thank you for keeping me safe from reality"
"Dear rain, Thank you for crying with me"
"Dear stuffed animals, thank you for comforting me"
"Dear blanket, thank you for hugging me every night"
"Dear bed, thank you for bringing me to heaven"
"Dear God, thank you for supporting me"

As a kid I didnt really understand the meaning of this episode, i mean its meant for little kids yet it was portrayed as something very serious. I mean a character change in a person. Every episode was this cheery episode where kids were having fun and whatnot and then this episode has a deeper meaning.
Great edit btw love it

For me, the part that hit me the hardest was the reaction that everyone around Clarence had to his sudden mood change. Here we have this really heartwarming kid who suddenly started acting all gloomey and depressed and everyone immediately notice that something is wrong with him. It goes to show that despite what depressed people think, there are people around them that really do care about your well being.

This kinda shows how many schools do nothing for struggling students and it's up to a teacher or friend(s) to change a person's life for the better

This reminds me of whenever I try to talk to the shy kids at school, they always end up abandoning me and go with the average "cool" kids that do drugs and talk about basket ball. Its frustrating seeing potential friends that you would never see go down that road, but its always influence that drives us down into a hole we can never go back from.
