Do you think this would be good for filming movies too? Not just action sports?

I don't think so. Because even with max mic sensitivity, the recorded audio is too weak. Only sound/voice that close enough (i guess around 2-feet) to the cam can be clearly captured. It might be good as secondary cam for filming movie.
