brother... ozone has clarity for lowend, its called low end focus. Its absolutely intelligent how they handle this in 2 seperate plugins because both ends need different types of modules and soundshaping. Low end focus reaches to max 300hz so the whole spectrum is analyzed with clarity and low end focus. Wish you did check that out before making these statements in the video.

A comparison between Gullfoss and the Ozone module would have been more appropriate than comparing it to a resonance suppressor like Soothe. I think that DSEQ and Soothe are rather a different category.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the mid/side and transient/sustain option with those Ozone modules. Also, if you go into the preset there’s some resonance removal presets and other things to manipulate the processing a bit more.

In addition to these I've been experimenting with Gullfoss while side chaining pink or other noise profiles. The Recover and Tame buttons give me more control over adding or subtracting I also use Ceilings of Sound to create various sound profiles and again, side chain them to Gullfoss.

I guess iZotope wanted us to use Clarity together with Low End Focus. Maybe they should've combined them into one intuitive module. I personally don't like to have too much latency in my projects and LEF alone has like 200ms of it. 😅

Edit: also at 2:13 Ozone has a module called low end focus for that frequency range. If you have Clarity, you have Low End Focus. So they didn't neglect the low frequencies

Great video! For a spectral processor in Ozone that works on the bass (300 hz and below) you could try Low End Focus

Good call in re Ozone Clarity. The inability to process signal below 300 Hz is definitely a drawback.
If, as the presenter notes, Izotope is saying, "Trust us, you needn't be bothering with frequencies lower than 300 Hz, " that's all well and good. Still, I'd like to be able to see for myself if this is in fact the case.
A sensible solution would be to have the plugin default to its ideal slider positions (maybe even with the lower slider deactivated until turned on by the user), and then allow users to adjust parameters without arbitrarily imposed restrictions - especially as it's well known the 250 Hz region is common problem area, etc.

ozone does 1000 things good, but nothing great. soothe does 1 thing, and does it great. theres no way around this because izotope is focused on yearly updates and profits
