When I was in the Army in Germany, a buddy of mine told me about meeting Harley at the airport in St.Louis. He was really thrilled to meet him and he told Harley that he was his hero since he was a little kid, Harley shook his hand and put his other hand on his shoulder and told him "Young man, you're the hero! You and everybody else that wears one of those uniform!" He was such a great guy!

My favorite Harley Race story. Race was speeding to the next town when he was pulled over. He and his passenger was asked to get out of the car. Turns out he was pulled over by a guy making a citizens arrest. When race realized it, he punched the guy in the face and left him in the ditch.
