I grew up watching these ads in NYC, and it always shocks me when people in other parts of the country have no idea what Crazy Eddie was. When I was 7 years old I thought the guy in these commercials was world-famous.

I remember these commercials all the time as a kid. I also remember going to the store to hifi vcrs, laser disk players and console tvs. The stores were as sketchy as the owner but we loved the deals and these adds. RIP amazing spokesperson. Your ads made that joint.

Back when I lived in New Jersey I bought a 5 disk CD changer from Crazy Eddie. It was awesome. I might not have the unit anymore but I will forever have the pleasure of being able to say that I was a Crazy Eddie customer once!

I lived upstate as a child in the late 70s and very early 80s but our tv stations were from the city and this is a core memory!

Sad to hear Jerry died. These ads were a fixture for me. Watch a movie on channel 9 or channel 5 and you would memorize the Crazy Eddy commercials by the end of the night.
