If you please, can you tell me why you did configurations in the root and then evidently repeated the same configurations in the sub_directory? Is that just the basic syntax working in the git environment? Also, I think that I may have missed a step between you pushing the code and the excursion into the github environment. Understanding git is not that difficult. The github environment on the other hand is going to take some doing. I think that would make an ideal second segment. "git stash" (don't clobber my stuff when I pull) and "git commit --amend" (oops, touch up that commit after the fact)
