I love licorice so much that i don’t even know how to put into words.
It was my favourite treat when i was a kid, and now 25+ years later it’s still sitting at number 1.

I never got tired of it, and i don’t think i’ll ever be.

Used to love running to the Newsagents on a Saturday morning as a kid and finding that still warm fresh paper bags full of licorice strips, when they stopped making it fresh I lost interest though. Recently the same company found a way to make their licorice stay fresh longer and taste the same as they did originally, so glad to have it back it's like meeting an old friend again.

It goes way back to the middle ages, possibly before. There are records of the bishop of Ely buying it. Probably just in its raw form

American liquorice like twizzler is an abomination, the red one taste like chewing on plastic wax strips and has 0% liquorice.
