In August 2018, Seattle Tunnel Partners tested the SR 99 tunnel’s ventilation system. This videos shows one of the ventilation tests in progress. The ventilation system is just one of the many systems undergoing testing to make sure the SR 99 tunnel functions as designed. The new tunnel could open as soon as fall 2018.
