In my opinion you should give the oldest the room by themselves. It’s important to teach kids that as you grow up you need privacy.

Be careful with the fan, you should probably get one with smaller blades

(Edit: I had a loft bed as kid and my parents easily switched out the fan. Not because they didn’t trust me but because you could wake up in the middle of the night, dazed, and accidentally hit the fan.)

NGL the fan scares me but I had a bunk that was close to a fan haha. It's probably just the angle that makes it look really close.

If you want an overhead light fan ive seen some cute ones that are gorgeous on Amazon and would be safer with the now lofted bed. Most are under 200 but would probably mitigate ER visits.

I’m hoping that loft bed is not at risk of falling down! Just please make sure it is attached to the wall and well secured so the little one in the single twin bed underneath stays safe!

Apart from the fan I’d love to have this for my daughter’s room. If they ever do get their own room you can still use the space up there like a loft for toys or storage or a play area if properly rigged up. So cute tho

I enjoy the simplicity and cleanness of your design. Kids are gonna add a lot of their own design elements and patterns and color so I like that the room is starting out in a very clean and streamlined way. It’s not gonna stay that way and that’s great. I like the girly without the frilly.
