Bought tint at local auto zone inspired by video. $10 tint I bought didn’t stretch like the film he was using. I’ve always thought tint from shops is a different material.

That film is not the same for cars. It is a thin film. It makes the application easier. I did try to install a tint in my jet helmet. It was a disaster. The film was too thick to cover the curves.
