Historic Wakefield Church Focuses On 'Restoring Brokenness' After Massive Fire

Update on what I learned from our local paper. Over $18, 000 dollars over a 50, 000 dollar limit has already been established on a go fund me page for the First Baptist Church. Great progress so far, if we can get up to 20, 000 we are coming close to a goal to be able to rebuild the church. Those of you who live in Wakefield, the Savings Bank and the Co operative bank are taking in donations via check . That’s what I know so far.

It’s hard to imagine that I won’t drive past there to see the steeple glimmer against the sun anymore. Some are calling this beautiful, while others say they should build apartments there. I say it was a very tragic loss for Wakefield, just as it was when we lost the old St Joseph’s church in the seventies. These are hidden gems and hears of Wakefield . Hopefully another nice church will go up in the wake of what has fallen.

This is a awlful thing the church is longer stands. I have a friend who attended the church and sang in the choir there. I spend time at the nursery school in the basement of the church also. Wakefield has lost a beautiful church it will be rebuilted. People who are not from the town need to keep their mouths shut be sensitive to those who attended this church. My heart breaks for all who did the children and teachers of Wakefield who lost their nursery school as well.

At 0:48 seconds a teenage girl made faces at the camera almost as if it was a joyous occasion? she needs bringing down to earth at the seriousness of this catastrophe.I hope her parents didnt see this, especially if they are parishioners of this church.
