shockingly enough, the best idea i heard for the captain's head crest came from none other than... Crudmaster.

i really do wish they would up their game a bit on gold earned cosmetics. They dont even need to be as flashy as the in game store ones and could be heavily grounded in pirate themes or whatever. Even some of the sets already in the game if they expanded on them like they did the ashen dragon set, it would be awesome, i will be waiting for the day when i can have an eastern jade winds short jacket lul

SoT is in a great spot rn, but man these emporium updates are getting absurd. When i watch an update video on the SoT channel, i only need to watch 40% of them, because the other 60% is advertising microtransactions :(

It’s just strange they go through the trouble of setting up a full story with Briggsy coming back, Tasha being cursed and things with the Dark Brethren only to ignore what the brethren were doing, Briggsy magically escapes them, and Tasha instantly cured. Are they just feeling spread thin on the story telling and couldn’t handle having side plots still occurring while the main story happens?

ALSO what the heck was the point of the gold hoarder riddle quest story thing we did last year? We learn someone in the gold hoarders is mad the other hoarders are not doing anything to help their leader but then nothing?

And why hasn’t the pirate lord buried his son? He had time to build up port Merrick for a man who is CHOOSING to remain dead to keep secrets from the dark brethren but nothing was done for his slain son?

As Josh Strife Hayes commented about: If your idea of Pay to Win is cosmetics, then having the best cosmetics be locked behind a paywall is definitively Pay to Win.

I don't hate the Pirate Emporium, but I have less things to work towards in game due to it.

They should add the ability to buy an island and create houses and shops and stuff on it. That alone would fix the gold economy, especially with new players.

It would be interesting if heavy and rapier swords got their own class

Would be interesting if they added the ability to wager on hour glass matches. If you are in the extended pirate legend or reaper hideout and you walk up to the world map that shows hour glass matches in progress on your sever you could interact with the map and have an option to view the stats of the 2 ships fighting and wager some gold on which one would win.

I just got into the game with ps5 but I launched the game and saw the monkey themed ship cosmetics and once I got that I will NEVER need to look in or think about the shop again

Wait, so that whole cliffhanger with Tasha and Briggsy is just... done? No Adventure or anything? That's pretty anticlimactic... although that does now leave Rare free to move the game's story in another direction, I suppose...

I wish that their was more cosmetics that were tied to older commendations in the game, like if getting one of the commendations related to shores of gold got you a gold hoarders version of the throwing knifes or double pistol.

Personally, I am 100% ok if devs fix their game instead of pushing content. It's refreshing to see so many bugs get patched, and I think that this is a step in the right direction.

The most fun time to play sot, is when they are slowly updating to make new structures in games and you get to slowly figure out what it might be.

It just sucks that we know what it is already😔
