i adore kate winslet so much shes such a brilliant example of an exceptional actress. that mirror advice really struck me too cuz, maybe it was stupid of me to think so, but i'd always thought it was the right thing to do to practise in the mirror so ur more aware of what ur doing. but i do recognise im more distracted by myself if i look in the mirror rather than being in the character (cuz in real life u aint lookin in the mirror when u talk all the time are you xD i suppose u shouldnt when ur acting either) so im deffo gonna give that advice a go!

This is honestly the advice I really needed, lately I’ve been stuck between being a writer and actress lately people tell me I cannot be both and I won’t lie it has recked me in the beginning. Acting seems like a difficult road so far but a beautiful one and I’m willing to take it no matter what obstacles. Kate is a true professional. I agree, it’s important to memorize your lines well without any preconceived expression, then you can react truthfully. I’ve been using the Dialogmaster Pro rehearsal app to lock in my lines, then I don’t have to focus on them during my performance. I’ve rehearsed them so well that my focus is only on what the other characters are giving me to react to. It’s making the preparation process so much easier.
