I taught my oldest to slow dance to this song when he was 13. I remember that weekend as clear as day. It was a rainy weekend spent lounging around after the house was cleaned, the smell of lunch was in the air and we were sitting laughing, talking, joking with him, me and his little brother. The amount of money, things, whatever I would give to go back and do it again😢. I can almost taste the sweetness of the memory as the song came on and we all turned to listen and we said how much we loved it. Even at that young age they were exposed to good music and they recognize it immediately. Soul, r &b, neo, jazz, reggae, classical, etc. They KNOW good music! That was the afternoon he asked me to dance for the very first time!😊. I was shocked and so pleasantly surprised. This was a turning point. I knew it. My baby was about to become interested in being someone's baby, lol😅.. but, I did what good mother's do and submitted to his request. From that moment on and into the next summer he practiced. He practiced and he practiced. It was always with me and it was ALWAYS to THIS SONG! NOTHING else, lol.. I never got tired of hearing it. Somehow as the years passed we lost track of it and I was beyond pleased to find it so many, many years later on TickTock of all places, lol😅...anyway, thank you for the memories and thank you for the beautiful 🎵 song❤😊🎉it will always mean so much to us!

I used to go around my neighbourhood getting the raindrops from my neighbours roofs with my friends when I was about 6 or 7 and that was the only childhood I'd ever experienced that I've treasured the rest was just part of the journey. Rain makes me sad yet happy the at the same time.
