I keep coming back to these videos. It's really inspiring me to shoot some more film, digital is great but there's something about film I find much more enjoyable.

I've shot both Cinestill 50 and 800. I really love the texture and the way it captures the light. The 50 iso stock gave me some interesting results! They now have 120 format available but only in 800.

you need an 85A warming filter if you want to take it outdoors in post-dawn pre-dusk daylight.

Hi Daniel and thank you from Down Under (as you Yankees say!). I enjoyed your expose and am looking forward to giving Cinestill a go next week in LA. I'll be picking up my (almost) new Rolleiflex (irrelevant but just had to throw that in) and will drop into Freestyle for some film before heading out for good times! May take one of my beautiful OM-2 shooters (or XPan??) for the Cinestill experience. Thanks from Dave in Sydney, Aust. :-)

Nice! Just got myself my first rolls of CineStill. Can’t wait to try them. Nice channel, BTW. I’m a film photographer too. Let’s connect!

can you shared about the shutter speed and aperture that you used in night photography?

Were all of these pushed at 1600? I just ordered myself some 800T and I'm curious if it's a better idea to shoot at 800 or 1600? Especially for night shots

hoily shit that 5219
hey uh, what would someone use to shoot video with that sort of film? I noticed that it listed super 8, 32mm, and 16mm packages but I got confused and scared so yea. good videos!

Did you push the film? I'm surprised how fast the shutter was to capture the ball in the air with the light condition.

Does this film need special processing or does it use the normal c-41 development?

this is propably the best review you can get for this film because you really go into it. i would love to shoot this film but i think the red halations ruin every picture which they are in

Great video. I have this roll flying around and i have to try it out. Did you use the 85B Filter outside? And was this film developed as normal and underexposed, or did the Lab actually pushed the film 1 stop?

Cheers from germany

The only best photo 01:15 :D ! sorry. No noise, no grain, really awesome portrait. CineStill 800T is very special and I see only need to buy it to get that red halo and cinematic portraits but it seems you still need a lot of good light from street lamps to avoid noise. Really your first photo portrait on 01:15 is the most beautiful

Your review sold me. I've been wanting to shoot film at night and i'll definetely pick this up. I do have a quick question though. If you shot at 1600, do you have to tell the film lab (where you develop at) that you pushed an 800 iso film to 1600? Meaning do I need to tell my local lab? or do I just push it to 1600 and that's it?

hey Danny, thanks for the informative video! I got my first cinestill 800 film a few days ago and I'm looking forward to try it! Just one question: did you use the ISO1600 for the whole film or did you switch in between?
