Thank you Debra. This is just the validation I needed to give me more confidence to listen to my soul and heart rather than to follow my mind. Every time I try and take control with my mind my soul disagrees and then I get stuck. I had figured this out but there is nothing like hearing it from someone in the know to validate - now after this solar eclipse I can move forwards with more confidence. I disagree. The sun is Soul, (or Sol). The ascendant is the Sol's path through life. If anything, the rising sign governs the outer self, specifically the body, as it controls ones response to the environment. There are many MANY other astrologers who would back me up on this.
