Open banking is still a relatively new idea in Africa. It has been touted as a game-changer, largely due to the massive adaption of mobile money transacting in Africa. However, critics of open banking opine that the continent's financial systems are fragile, with weak internal data controls which can be open to fraudsters. Banking expert Uzoma Dozie explains what this means for the banking sector in Africa.
