The BEST Union Star Jig for Wooden American Flags

After I made my first Flag as a Christmas Gift in 2020, I thought I could make some more and list them for sale. In the process, I tried to come up with ideas that would streamline the process and this jig is something I came up with for installing my Union stars.

I like the use of 1” stars. The jig is a great idea also. I’ll be making one to use. Thank you.

Hey, WD. I enjoy listening and watching you. Most of us out here in YouTube are regular guys like you with regular inexpensive tools. Many YouTube content creators have forgotten their roots and do their projects with CNC's and SawStop, Festool, etc. As a result, it's difficult for the average weekend woodworker to relate to the work that these guys are doing.
You have tools like we do and you do a good job speaking our language in your explanations.
I have subscribed and hope to see you do a lot of videos.
BTW: Have you ever tried to carve the stars with a router?

Nice job, I like the wooden shelving brackets you made in the back. It would be cool if you did a how to vid for those sometime.

Good video. Like you, I am going to glue my Stars on as I believe the raised stars look better than the grinding method or spray paint method. I just needed ideas on how to place them, and you gave them to me. What kind of glue are you using? Thanks for the video.

What glue did you use? I found that CA works well, but don't put too much on the star because the squeeze-out leaves a glossy mess on the blue union.

Your new star template is easy & usable. Thanks!
