Kevin Hart says he has no reaction to the backlash over Jo Koy’s hosting job during the Golden Globes while expressing that Jo is a phenomenal comedian who sells out arenas everywhere for a reason with a large fan base. Kevin says the Golden Globes is a tough industry room where the expectation is one of consequence and everyone is on edge about what’s going to be said about them. He goes on to explain that the comics who’ve had success in the hosting role have a nice understanding of the personnel and they have relationships with the stars in the room, naming Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Ricky Gervais.

Just cuz they didn't know who he was they were highly critical. He's been in the game, every comedian knows him. He sells stadiums! His comedy style is for everyday people. He's a good guy who wants people to have a good time which is what I always have when I go to his shows. His mistake was he treated the room like regular citizens when we know Hollywood has the most self-absorbed people. A lot of people proved it. Thank goodness there were some people who understood what the night was about and had grace and class to laugh off silly jokes. Thank goodness for DeNiro and Meryl Streep for getting it.

Jo koy's comedic talent revolves around his mom... His culture.. filipino and asian culture... Those type of topic... And to host a golden globe where you don't have the mastery of that topic is a tough ask. Best assessment ive heard so far.
Kevin is so right.

It's really a tough job for a "stranger" like Jo Koy, who was thrown into the lion's den full of egocentric and narcissistic people and try to cheer them up.

If Jo Koy gave zero fcks on stage and wrote the entire script himself, he easily could’ve nailed it. Still did great nonetheless given the amount of prep time. Accepted the gig on a very short notice cos more mainstream comedians wont do it due to the bunch of snubs in the audience

Jo Koy is a very good stand-up comedian actually. These award show gigs are brutal. He will be ok

I wasnt always a big, huge fan of Kevin Hart but I have since grown respect and liking for him. Not just because of his good words of Jo Koy and speak the truth about JK-s talent but also, Kevin is intelligent, nice and relatable. He doesnt seem or strike me to be Hollyweird ahahahh. He stands out for this reason. These comics in fact are treasures.

Kevin's take is the best I've seen. The other comic reviews are making excuses about material or short notice, but he's an outsider going into an elite club. He was almost guaranteed to fail. I don't think it was funny, but Hollywood's reaction made them look like 💩

In the words of Jay-Z, "I said no to the Super Bowl. You need me, I don't need you." Well played, Kevin. 🙌

Really revealed the true nature of Hollywood and Internet Cancel Culture after one revealing night of pettiness for a few missed jokes that isn’t even his writing. It's fantastic. Screw the writers but he needs to own the jokes as well. He doesn’t need to apologize. It's part of the gig with less prep time. Other GG hosts roast with no remorse. So what’s different this time? Lots of factors come to mind but some more obvious than others.

You know what's real funny? The part where Jo Koy was in St. Louis, Missouri, where he did his first stand up gig since hosting the Golden Globes and called out Hollywood and woke society Marshmallows because they are soft, Jo Koy got a massive cheers and standing ovation from the audience and laughing. Another funny but cool moment is when a audience got up and said F***'em (referring to the haters) it was also in the news headlines recently 1. Golden Globe Awards - CBS - Host: Jo Koy - 9.47 million viewers.
2. Emmy Awards - Fox - Host: Anthony Anderson - 4.3 million viewers.
3. Critics Choice Awards - CW - Host: Chelsea Handler - 911 thousand viewers.

It seems that Jo Koy got the last laugh on all haters, Jo Koy thanked the fans and said you make me happy, and wasn't happy for four days. This was recently in several news headlines, as The Joker from The Dark Knight says It's a funny world we live in

You'd think artists and people who worked on the entertainment industry would have a sense of humour but most of them don't. They get so easily offended.

Kevin Hart has a very good review about this experience of Jo Koy. I completely agree with him. So next year when Jo Koy host the golden globes he will be funnier for most viewers. I also, thinks he got super nervous since it is the first time for him meeting and performing in all of those big celebrities.
