The Reopening of John Lewis Poole

On 15 June, we began to reopen some of our shops. Our absolute priority is keeping our customers and our Partners safe. So with a lot of hard work, careful planning and safety measures in place, we’re delighted to have reopened the doors of John Lewis & Partners, Poole.

To the fools responsible for the new advert, watch this video, see who the customers are, then ask yourselves "Who is the new advert aimed at?" because it sure isn't aimed at the people going into this store. This is just a nice video saying "we are open, we'd love to see you". I like John Lewis, I really dislike their new woke, politically correct advert. People have had enough of being preached to, please ditch your new advert and make a new one that simply says "Hi, we are open and we'd love to welcome our loyal customers back". Adverts are mean't to attract custom, they are not about preaching to people. The age group who shop at John Lewis aren't likely to take kindly to the new advert, they like to see "Made in Britain" coupled with words like "Quality" and "Made to Last" these are people who have known hard times and spend wisely, they are more likely to shop elsewhere if they don't like what you are doing. It's hard to attract new custom, it's easy to lose existing customers, John Lewis must simply do what it does best and nothing else.
