Black ops 2, 3, Modern Warfare 3 and others games.

Those games show us a little parts of what would probably be our future on technology.

Without the mask, we’d be extremely scared of how close you are to the camera

My grandpa served in the army and he agrees with this

This is so relatable, but can you imagine railgun drones, we are already developing tractorbeams, so I think we aren't far from railgun drones or laser drones

I remember reading an article a few years ago about drones about the size of a baseball with an explosive charge in it about as powerful as the powder charge in a 9mm round potentially being used for assassinations and such. The first thing I thought was "imagine hundreds to thousands of those with more powerful charges patrolling cities, being controlled by tyrannical governments."

In my opinion, that's far scarier than the terminator.

Wow. Its almost as if theyve been warning us of this through science "fiction" for years through film and television. Anyone who brought it up as the future was dismissed as a coocoo.

I said this before. These drones are like fireworks when they were invented. Used for art and awe. But can easily be used to harm people.

Thing with technology aspect of warfare is there is usually a way to counter said technology. EMPs, drones with explosives to take out other drones, some form of anti aircraft but modified for drones, etc.

what if wars between countries became a game of drone fighting?

imagine if you sat down to watch the news and its showing a drone's POV with an Esports commenter in the back ground.

I would think that Jammers and radar blocking technologies would possibly be a way to combat against hive drones, but I guess you could possibly develop more sophisticated drones that can overcome those counters.

The biggest weakness of Tactical and CAS based bombing (that is, focusing on either taking down the enemy infrastructure through tacitcal bombing or closely supporting the boots on the ground with strategic bombing) has always been the necessity of fighters to defend the bomber, leading to dogfights, the main reason for fighters.

Drones are cheap, effective, and much harder to see/detect. Technology will be created to defend against them, like the recent missile based weaponary that can kill drones en mass, but effectively speaking, dogfights are dead, massive fighter fights will no longer exist, existing in a state of small scale skirmishes (think aircraft carrier levels with a few dozen on each side) instead of the famous massive dogfights over landmasses that are known to media.

Drones are like a nuclear option but without the nukes.

My grandpa was in the army, i asked him what he was scared of and he said "those flying artifical intelligence fuckers".

Well, if it has a system and is connected to a wireless network, it can most likely be hacked.

I'd add Wargaming's World of Drones to my game library
