WTF. Why push money into this when you could just give the people the money. You don't need to pay for a survey about how we need money. 😠😡🤬

I find it interesting that these sort of factors are not in the national debate. I think these mental surveys say a lot about whats going on in the nation. I took a look at the study and read it myself and when you see the results separated by age you notice higher degree of mental health issues among younger demographics. Young adults have the highest level of mental health issues because many of them are having their growth economically stunted. Many are loosing jobs this isn't just a issue of loss wages but experience and time. The too most critical elements for growth in a career.

You see less mental issues in middle age adults but still higher degrees then older demographics. I believe this is because this is your prime demographic for the successful small business owner. You live a happy middle class too upper middle class life style but your not filthy rich either. Nor are you a older person with more wiggle room due to a life time of moderate success which has allowed you to save to take the economic hit from the lock downs. Which means your livelihood comes from your business and not from a guaranteed corporate or government job. Many of these people do face possibility of loosing everything.

The United states is now a very divided nation with a hot election coming there are talks on both parties about election fraud. Both sides accuse each other of being authoritarian. And both sides deeply resent each other. And we have seen several times of brief massive riots all across the nation followed by non stop events of smaller protest/riots. We are seeing escalating levels of violence and just general conflicts in public life which in the past they might of saved for when they got home where they would then go engage on a internet flame war in the comment section of youtube. But not nowadays the internet flame wars and entering the public domain. Many people think this will blow over because we had conflict periods in Americas past. But I would also point out you haven't seen this perfect mix of of bad economic times, deeply divided nation with elections coming. And why not throw racial issues into the mix? It's hard too see how any of this could end up good? The reality is neither side will ever agree.

So I don't understand why none of this was this not considered when locking the nation down for a virus that is only dangerous for a small portion of the the society. The reality is this virus is only barely more deadly then the flue for the majority of the population. Why not let them live life by working, running a business, and going out and living their social lives which is such a key component for many peoples mental well being. If we did that you wouldn't see the higher rates of mental health issues in younger people during these times. You wouldn't be fueling the economic pressures in the political arena. In which case there would be less of a threat of political violence on the street or worse.

I don't know... some people may be optimistic and think this will blow over. But I am personally am not. Its worth noting we have seen this sort of thing in other nations in the past and and there is no reason to believe it can't happen here under the right circumstance. Maybe we shouldn't be so arrogant to think it couldn't end up happening here just because we are Americans or because our moral beliefs as people are so much more superior then those in the past.
