Couldn't get my pool to clear. Too sample to store and woman wished me luck. Broke the scale! Drained it, scrubbed it, refilling now.

My issue is unique, water is clear but even the morning after I shock, I’ll get maybe 1ppm of TC and a half of FC, at most. It’s like the pool just eats the chlorine… I’ve tried testing phosphates (fine) and tried both cal-hypo and do-chlor type shocks. I once put 9lbs of cal hypo shock from Donehy’s in and a day later, nothing!

My issue is at first opening. Unless you get the pH up to proper levels. Nothing works. First thing I do is test and add usually 16 lbs of Borax and test the following day. Then shock and the chlorinator on. Worked for close to 20 year's Now

we got a pool that has 200ppm cya. about to start draining it down and refilling some. chlorine doesnt touch anything as of right now!

My CYA increased from 57 to 81 in 19 days? Should i stop using pucks??. I currently have 2 in the floater. I shock my pool with calcium hypo... when needed. Current Free Chlorine is 2.44. Any help i dont want to be above 100 CYA.
