Honestly, I think Solo was put in the vault when he was that young. That's why he has the mind of an 11 or 12 year old.

The numbers on the chalkboard is rebels trying to crack the vault code

Fun fact: Judge Meadows actor (Tanya Moodie) voices the Bene Gesserit AI supercomputer in Dune prophecy TV series.

You missed something lol. Solo sat next to the 11 year old girl because he was also that age when the rebellion happened. He's been in the vault for decades

Solo was a child when the rebellion happened, his father put him in the vault to protect him.

He sat next to a 11 year old because he WAS 11 years old, he has a mind of a child because he was alone since he was a child, this is why Juliet starts talking to him as if he was a child, "Tell me about those animals with the long noses again?".

Bernard killing her was set up perfectly. He was never going to give her a suit, it was so painfully obvious from the half assed measurements he took. I don’t know how I was shocked lol. Would be crazy if Shirley was the secret child of Bernard and the Meadows.

My theory is that every rebellion happens because the Sheriff slowly pieces together that they have no power and are pawns of the Head of IT. Given the way the Silo works, it's inevitable. Paul is close now.

i love the very literal way of showing a class analysis, whole show is about class and control

Isaac Newton has nothing on Lucas.
He figured out the earth is round and we're rotating around the Sun just by looking out a dusty window.

i think Solo was put into the vault as a kid, like when he was 11 and stayed in the vault the whole time. And part of me thinks meadows might have had a child but gave it away. That child might be Shirley which seems like a nice tie in for something that could get Bernard to stop/hesitate from crushing the rebellion 🤔

Excellent breakdown. I agree with the other comments that Solo was a boy when he knew Lapis and that he's been in the vault for decades. The reason why he's so childlike is because he took that drug that wipes memories.

Tim Robbins is such a low key villain. I'm glad he's not hamming things up, acting wise, but I wish there was a wee bit more undercurrent of menace in his demeanor. I don't get chills whenever he appears on screen and think this character needs that.

I hate that they killed Meadows. A round of applause for Tanya Moodie, the actress who played her. I thought she did a great job. That scene with her blowing Lucas' mind about the solar system was both touching and terrifying. I knew Meadows was doomed from the earlier episode when she asked for the suit, and when Bernard invited her for dinner, I knew he was going to kill her.

I think Meadows did have Bernard's child but she gave the child up for adoption and that child ended up in mechanical and is Shirl.

READ THIS!! The old lady who helped people have babies said they put something in the water to make people forget. I think that the silo isn’t as old as they’re making it seem, I think the older people know things about the outside because they’re parents were living outside but they put something in the water to make them forget and said the silos have been a thing for hundreds of years. I also think the city is a projection and they’re in an experiment dome. Solo is describing the circus like a memory almost hopefully it’s not just from him reading books.

I think the most important point to Jules story is from episode 3 where she comes to understand her big mistake. In that episode Solo asks her is she knows Ron. Apparently he went out to clean and walked out of camera view without dying. That lead people to believe it was safe out side and what ultimately drove the Silo 17 people outside. In Episode 3 you can see "Ron lives" written on the wall in an area Jules is searching for a helmet. Jules doesn't know this is happening in 18 but the clue is for us to understand why she should get a new suit and go back to 18. She understands what her failing to clean might bring about. We get to see the breakdown in silo 18 escalating we actually understand more then her. I love how this is written.

2:22 i think maybe Solo was a child when the rebellion happened and many years have passed since that, which would explain his childish behaviour as an adult. I dont think he was head of IT etc.
