This video shows you how to install a new transmission shift cable from TRQ on your 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

This repair was done on a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4.2L Sport Utility 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Tools you will need:
• Phillips Bit in a Ratchet
• Pliers
• T15 Torx Driver
• Coat Hanger
• Electrical Tape
• Safety Glasses
• Wheel Chocks

Great video, a few points - more detail reseating the cable at the shifter and at the bottom holder .
ALSO - When I tried to hook the cable to the transmission in Park it didn't reach .
There's a white tab on the end of the cable you can pull out and then have some adjestment room on the inside spring to adjust cable length .
Once at correct length, press white piece back in to lock .

I had a problem with shifting out of Park. I was able to access a button on the passenger side of the shift lever. Engine running, my foot on break pedal and pressing the button I was able to move the shift lever out of park.

After replacing the whole cable, every gear stays in place, but when put on drive the shift nob wables back and forth but doesn't change gears. Is that okay?

My Chevy shifted like butter into park (like gears were lost) but it's still in drive. Can I do this if it's stuck in drive yet shifter is locked in park. It's like the shifter suddenly broke upon parking.

And a local mechanic is charging me $700 to change the cable in my 09 Nissan versa. And says i may have bigger issues too as she manula shifted and the car still did not start. I think im being screwed.
