I read ten books this month, though half of them were for school. Can't wait for the trimester to be over! (we have trimesters instead of semesters where I live). Heartstopper is great, I can confirm it has the power to melt even the coldest of hearts 🐶

Let me add to the litany of people raving and recommending Steinbeck: Of Mice and Men is another wonderful yet heart wrenching short story. East of Eden and The Grapes of Wrath are his two longest works, and both are well worth the read.

I read all four volumes of Heartstopper in one day and my cheeks literally hurt because I was smiling so much. So glad you enjoyed them :)

Pedro Páramo was one of the best book i've ever read for my school's literature class. Total masterpiece.

I'd 100% recommend Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men". It was my first Steinbeck & wow! His writes brilliantly & was an instant 5 🌟 for me. It's also a short book but he definitely used the pages wisely. I'm busy reading his non-fiction on the WWII (he worked as an reporter) and just his introduction is already wonderful.
But "The Pearl" is on my TBR! I'm looking forward to read it!

Solid reading month, Emma! My May was a bit of a drop off from previous months but I am a few books ahead of goal so hopefully it won't hurt me. I am nearly done with Crime and Punishment! Love the videos!

East of Eden is my favorite Steinbeck and everything I've read of his is excellent. He tends to be all Hemingway was cracked up to be without the style gloss.

Hello Emma! It's great to know you liked Heartstopper and Steinbeck. I recommend Grapes of Wrath, the most acclamed book by Steinbeck. His writing is really beautiful. I'm reading Kitchen Princess currently. It's gooood! Thanks for the recommendation! 😉😍

Your videos have been a beautiful break always, but especially for me the last several weeks. I admit I have been into the nexus of the Johnny Depp trial. Every single day, every minute. It's been so interesting, wild and hits home in a way I can't explain. You've sprinkled something wholesome and grounding and beautiful throughout weeks of triggering, eye opening and (IMO) needed testimony. Mental illness, abuse, addiction snakes through our lives like a beautiful vine that poisons you while you're mistakenly feeling nourished as it engulfs your entire life. It's made me so sad for both sides, wishing healing for everyone involved.
Your videos have brought this calm of "oh yes, this is my life now, this is how I'm here now".
Emma, you're a dear sweet soul. Thank you for spilling it out all over the interwebs. We need it. ❤️
