I've made benzaldehyde a few times before, but I think this is the easiest way to obtain it (just short of buying it directly).

If you made beakers and labcoats I would buy them in an instant, except for the fact that I live in colombia and the shipping would probably be too expensive.

Despite the traditional chemists practic experience of extention benzaldehyde using in drugs preparing, the joint interest of police and criminals in them led to the criminalization of a valuable reagent, complicating the daily activities of scientists especially in backward countries

I'm sorry, there are big mistakes. Adding a saturated solution of NaHCO3 or Na2CO3 to almond oil you get a little soap and Cannizzaro's reaction converting benzaldehyde in benzoic acid and benzilic alcohol. It's true you have sodium benzoate, however you can't convert it to benzaldehyde (it's a reaction of reduction) by adding magnesium sulfate. So I don't know you have distilled, maybe it's benzilic alcohol or propan-1, 2, 3-olo. You didn't say the temperature of the distillation.
