2020 Bentley Bentayga V8 | If Only You Had Saved Your Money

It’s hard to believe that the Bentayga’s been with us for 5 years already. And it’s certainly been a trailblazer. During that time Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and Aston Martin have also brought ultra-luxurious SUVs to market with more on the way. Available with 6-, 8- or 12–cylinder power including a plug-in hybrid, this is the Bentley Bentayga V8.

MSRP as-tested: $228,845

“For this kind of money, I need my B’s to be upright at all times yo” - Steve Hammes

The 2021 looks so much better than the 2020.

Tremendously indelible review as always; that Bentayga is certainly a magnificent dream!

I’ll take the twelve Tiguans: One for whatever kinda mood you’re in tonight.

Thanks for the review. If I had so much money I was indifferent to the expense, sure I’d grab one of these. But as an aspirational car, can’t justify one that has poorer infotainment than that offered by my Kia Uvo system.

We’ll see what Ferrari comes with...

I think even at $3k a month it’s better to lease than buy it.

Great video, I also can't believe we have had it 5 years!! Sad there is no more diesel too!

I'd get this for the Country Club and an Aviator for grocery hauls, yo
Surprised you didn't wear your velvet tracksuit and Gucci ballcap/sneakers combo for this review, eh Steve?
A monumental automotive achievement: 98

Honestly I probably wouldn't choose any of the 4 VW group SUVs except the SQ7. I would like the Italian SUVs from Maserati and Alfa Romeo.

Even the updated model looks incredibly cheap inside compared to the Continental GT, which is an absolutely knock out - maybe the best interior currently in ANY car at ANY price, and that includes Rolls Royce. The NAV unit in this one looks pulled directly out of a Passat. Personally I think this has a hard time justifying itself against a BMW X7 with everything on it.

Nice review, but the styling of this vehicle is all over the place.

The plugin hybrid also is very disappointing: the battery pack is very small, so the electric range is limited. For the price they should have made it go at least 50 miles electric. For a rebadged Q7, it's bad value for money imo.

I'm not sure a lease price of $2, 600 a month is a "special."

Beautiful car and nice review Steve. Unfortunately that is about $230k more than I am willing to spend on a mode of transportation. If it only had a coffee maker built in would I would reconsider. ;)

I wish the interior would have been the same as the continental GT NOT that I would buy it!

Hey Steve. Did not know you had this channel. I have had two auto experts come and showcase some of my collection here in bel air. Doug Muro just was here.

Really nice. But with underwhelming interior technology, how would you rate this compared to the new Mercedes GLE 63S? I ask bc the Mercedes has a great engine and technology is world leading.

Honestly, what a disappointment from Bentley. The exterior is incredible and screams high luxury, but the interior is what gets me. Everything seems to be manually controlled which is unheard of on a mega luxury vehicle like this Bentley. When I saw you manually recline the second row seats, that just screamed Toyota/Honda to me. Manual folding seats on a Bentley? What?!?

Amongst latest SUV from different brands, this Bentley is upholder of old school interior used in almost every Bentley it is exactly the same. Exterior is also old school. Tail lights are reminder of old 50s shaped that is disliked by us &, we wish illumination of front doughnut shaped Bentley lights should be replaced with modern headbeams like that of Audi.
