⛱️THASSOS - Giola 🐠 4K | Drone | Greece

You will find the Giola natural pool on the south coast of the island of Thassos between the village of Astris and the monastery of Archangel Michael. You can get to it by turning off the main road (connecting the resorts of Potos and Skala Potamias) and driving along a roughly 1 kilometer long dirt road. From the small parking lot next to the stylish tavern, you have to walk your way to Giola.
From a height it looks like the jaws of a rock monster, close up it impresses with its romantic beauty. Powerful nature conjured the unique Giola natural pool in the rock in the south of Thassos, where tourists go to swim and take pictures of the beautiful island landscape.
The water supply of the Giola pool is taken care of by the surf of the Thracian Sea (part of the Aegean Sea) - with slightly stronger waves, the water splashes straight into the lagoon. On the opposite side, the sheer stone walls of the pool are up to 8 meters high.
