The thing is Tanjiro in this scenario didn't lost his sister to the Demons but to the Demon Slayers, so it's quite unlikely that he'd join them but rather despise both factions as much and also seek revenge on both Muzan and the Hashira

Ok if Shinobu was sent to the infinity train. Akaza wouldn't kill her because of his respectful attitude

Actually shinobu may get upper hand againts Akaza. He was not really into killing women, also he was not aware that Shinobu has poisoned blade. So he would not mind getting cut at early stage, and this could be the game changer. He would probably have to retreat faster, without killing anybody.

Here are things to note, Akaza promised not only to eat but as well as not to kill a women. So if Shinobu or Mitsuri were sent, Akaza would most likely to not only avoid them, but Injure them to the point where they can't do anything. Making the mugen train arc different.

Interesting thing about Tanjiro having the mark and transparent world like Yoruichi is that probably all the upper moons would die making Muzan the only threat and the demon slayer corp will eventually keep getting stronger and there will be more hashira then ever before and eventually Muzan would be hunted down and wouldn't win against so many hashira level slayers.

Also since Muzan has Akaza on his favourites list, Muzan gave him an another ability, Akaza cannot die from his head being chopped off, but can only actually be fully killed by the sun. But after all, it is a deadly laser.
