Easter on a Budget: DIY basket ideas for toddlers (Dollar Tree)

I'm sharing my DIY Easter basket ideas for toddlers and all you need to do is shop at Dollar Tree.

Buying an Easter basket can get expensive and I've found that most of the time those baskets are not suitable for younger kids. So, DIY it is. This basket is easy and will allow you to stick to whatever budget you set. I skipped candy in this Easter basket for a 2 year old and added a ton of educational items, like some of Dollar Tree's childrens books, which you need to check out. They are a great Dollar Tree find!

I also picked up some Easter eggs for the egg hunt, but have no idea what to put inside...I would love to hear your suggestions in the comment section below.

That basket is adorable 😍 i wonder if small crayon melts would work well in the eggs. Their size can help with their pincer grasp.. maybe some more stickers?! Cheerios or goldfish. :)

Yes dollar tree for the win! That bunny basket is adorable, I like the idea of stickers and small snacks in the eggs. What about dried fruit - sweet treat, but still health...ier

I love the basket! I love that Dollar Tree has so many educational books! I saw a couple board books about potty training. I had to pay $5 at Amazon 😲. As for the Easter egg fillers... my daughter likes stamping so I bought the Easter theme stamps that come in a pack of 8 to put in. Also she’s really into cars lately so I bought a pack of wind up toy cars at target dollar spot to put in. Also since we are learning about Alphabets and numbers.. Dollar Tree has large numbers and ABC stickers that I will individually put a letter in an egg lol. Dollar tree also has a pack of dinosaur toy figurines and other animal themes that will fit in the eggs. For snacks teddy grahams and fruits snacks. My daughter will be 2 by Easter. Happy Spring!
