My daughter, who is now 30, was 12 when she discovered Taylor Swift. Taylor inspired my Niki to pick up a guitar and teach herself to play. Something my husband (her father), who is a musician and a music teacher, couldn't get her to do. I've been following Taylor since her humble beginnings and I feel so proud of how far she's gotten! I know that she's gone through a lot and I support her with all the re-do's of her original recordings. It's important that she did this - to stand up for herself and for what's right!!! But I do have the original CD's of these songs and, I gotta say, I love the honest innocence and purity in these recordings. It's a moment in time that's impossible to recreate.

im a swiftie but sometimes i listen the original version just to remember how i felt in that moment when i first listened the song. ofc i love the TS version and i hate that she was used in that way but it doesnt give me that nostalgia
