The best one of these is by far Sean Casey. He has to be the only player in MLB history who has ever managed to be thrown out at first base from LEFT FIELD.

in softball, because im fast, i played a short right field. people think the worst player is in right so i would force them to test me, out. i always told my first basemen, great tall girl, to watch for my throw to her. righty at the plate hit one to me, one hop, threw him out. 60ft bases. awesome throw, awesome catch by her.

Still the craziest outfield assists will always be Rick Ankiel throwing out Willy Taveras twice in the same game from center field at Coor’s Field and Bo Jackson’s assist from the warning track to home plate were the craziest outfield assists I’ve ever seen.

When I was playing Senior Little League, we were replaying the 3rd out in game 2 of a best of 3 series(we were up 1-0). The reason we had to replay the final out is because the previous night the umpire called the same guy out twice on the same play. We were up by 1 in this game and the bases were loaded. I was in right field. The next batter hit a ground ball past our 2nd baseman. I scooped it up and my dad, who was our coach, was screaming for me to throw it home, I threw a strike to our first baseman to nail the batter. We won the game and the division championship. We lost the league championship though. LOL This was 45 years ago this August.
