Vitebsk is a city in the north-east of Belarus, the administrative center of the Vitebsk region and the Vitebsk region. It is located in the eastern part of the region on the Western Dvina River. The third largest city in the country (after Minsk and Gomel) in terms of population.
"Slavianski Bazaar" (full name of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk") is an annual international art festival that has been held in Vitebsk since 1992.
The festival was conceived as a common cultural event of three countries: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine. A distinctive feature of the festival is the international competition of pop song performers and the international children's music competition (since 2003). Since 1993 Slavianski Bazaar has been a member of FIDOF. In addition to competitions, not only song culture is widely represented at the festival, but also various types of arts - visual, theatrical, cinema, folk crafts. Festival days include creative meetings with various figures of world culture, presentations of theatrical performances and films, art exhibitions, as well as fairs with the participation of craftsmen.
