Pulled Xianyun a few days ago and came across hyperbloom plunge too while testing a bunch of teams myself, it's currently my strongest Yae focused team since I've already vertically invested a lot in all these units except Xianyun whereas other typical Yae teammates have a lower dps ceiling with vertical investment.

Electro plunges feel great because it alleviates problems with Yae Quickbloom where sometimes turrets might hit seeds or you need to weave in Yae's weak normal attacks to hit them whereas electro plunges are both fast and have decent AoE so you're constantly proccing hyperbloom while also dealing a ton of plunge damage.

Yae is a very fun and strong unit. She doesn't provide much, except for damage. But that damage is VERY strong. Amazing aggravate main dps, very good sub-dps for spread teams(her rotations with tighnari are super fluid, and with al haitham its not bad). She's also a very good hyperbloom trigger, and also has lots of team options with Raiden and Chevreuse.

IMO, its easy to deal damage with Yae of how much her totems can do, sure she took more on-field time but in return is 100% uptime of DPS.

I play Yae a lot differently so I’ll tell you my two favorite teams. First one is Yae, dori, kazuha, and collei. Second team I really like is burngeon with nahida, thoma, xingqui, and Yae as the flex slot. Both of these teams feel good to play, dori heals an insane amount so even if you mess up rotations or take damage it doesn’t feel too punishing. For the burngeon team, unless you’re fighting something overly aggressive, w/ xingqui and Thoma’s abilities you take 0 damage. The problem with burngeon is the long set up time so adding in Yae miko allows damage to be dealt while you’re setting up and the rest of the team does the aoe damage (the electro application isn’t strong enough to consume all of the burngeon reactions and most of the time the mix of all the reactions helps rather than hurts. You will need high ER for thoma and xingqui, but for burngeon you’re most likely facing aoe which gives more particles for killing.

While I have tried the Yae with fischl teams, I always had problems having 100% up time with fischl probably because mine is built wrong, but I also get chunked out like crazy because I don’t have baizhu and my kirara and yaoyao are low. In the department of comfy, I do like having a dori / Yae core and w/ dori you can be flexible w/ deepwood, exile, noblesse, the new healing set, and even mix and match two pieces for ER and HP. Kuki is a good option too, but she’s better to play on hyperbloom teams.

Yaw is NOT single target focused. This is worth pointing out because many make the mistake of equating and/or lumping her with fischl. This automatic association can limit people from exploring the many other possibilities.

I use Yae Miko in my main team after getting her in 3.2. My main team just for exploring is Yelan, Hu Tao, Zhongli and Yae Miko
