I just had the same issue with my Dewalt 14.4v drill and you just saved me a headache as well 👏🙌😊

My overworked Makita drill....couldn't tighten the chuck, and bits were seizing in the workpiece. Your "fix" seems to have fixed it. Thanks!

Well, thank you for this. On the one hand it fixed my problem, on the other hand it made me feel like a fool.

Wow, so glad I found your video! As long as this only happens when I drop the tool, I can’t complain. I was sure I had broken the drill and was ready to order a new one.

Happy to pay the price of feeling like a fool after this video! It's better than having to do any repairs on my Makita now that I realize that it isn't even broken😀

Thanks pal. I tried it and worked within seconds. Thanks for saving my visit to the suppliers.

bandaid over a developing problem. it shouldn't be slipping and is a sign of wearing teeth or another identifiable issue inside the drill. it's only going to persist. might as well flly repair it while it's still mostly functional than wait until it's completely broken and you're left without a drill.

Not stealing, just borrowing! ☺ If more share the solution, easier to find! 👍

By the way don't think you're stealing content, most huge channels find channels like yours and make out they just come up with a solution :D

After a while it will get worse. It will keep slipping out of position. All my drills are about that age ad for some reason they all have the same problem. It has become so bad on one of mine that I can not use it without keeping it in position with my finger. My oldest one is now 20 years old so I can not really complain.
