Hi Carl, .... the opportunity of making a real difference in someone else's life and then the gratitude, the moving gratitude that is shown by People when they finally get their PR, is what, personally, pushed me to become an RMA 10 years ago in the first place; yes, we are paid (usually) for what we do, but still, the sincere gratitude of someone like the Family you saved, it is something I also have experienced through the years and THAT is my real payment!
Their words moved me as well; well done Carl and team.

Thank you for the visa-related update. Just for the sake of clarification, I want to ask a few things:

a. If Australia is your Usual Country of Residence and you visit other countries like your home country, such as India or Pakistan or any other country for conference or holiday purposes, then will the addresses you stayed at in those countries come under "Address History" or not? To me, it looks like it should come under ONLY the "Travel History" but not under the "Address History" because even if someone visits and stays in another country for a month or two for a visit and not for study or work, it does not change your residential address. Please clarify if it should come under both or only one.

b. During student life, some students change their addresses frequently. If they did not mention some of their addresses in previous visa applications, like 485, then mentioning those missing addresses in permanent visa applications will create any conflict or not if they are trying to be honest in mentioning addresses this time?

c. If someone did not bother much about the exact dates when applying for a temporary visa but now considering carefully when applying for the PR visa, should they mention those previous dates or the exact new dates they recalled or got it from their timeline history?

d. Before coming to Australia for the first time, your usual country of residence is your home country. Do you need to mention this travel in your last 10 years of travel history or not? If you need to mention it, then what should be the "To Date" in your travel history?

Your responses to these clarifications are highly appreciated.

Diploma Childcare educators are not included in any list either, even though there is a shortage of educators in the whole country. Just ECT and Childcare Managers are included.
In addition, it’s very frustrating that there is an age limit to apply for PR. (186 Visa).

PLEASE CARL HELP US WITH THE 494-191 PROCESSING TIME AND THE 3 YEARS WE ARE ON THE VISA COMPARED TO 482. WE ARE IN REGIONAL AND EVEN WHEN WE APPLY FOR 191 WE STILL NEED TO BE WITH OUR EMPLOYER AND THE PROCESSING TIMES ARE STILL HUGE. A FRIEND OF MINE WAITED 18 MONTHS TO GET MY VISA GRANTED

Hello Karl,

I can see on the invitation rounds page of Home Affairs that a total of 15, 000 EOIs were invited on the Nov 7th round. Does that mean only 1900 places are remaining for the financial year, as the total limit is of 16, 900?

I got my qualification recognised as ECT by ACECQA this year. Do I have to do English proficient test?
I’m working for one company and they want to give a sponsor. Considering that I have family and we are in the student visa, should we go for 190 or 186 DE?

its a wierd thing, 190 has electronics engineer and 491 doesnot have electronics engineer in NSW skills list. It cant be a mistake? right?

Hi Karl, any updates on the occupations in NSW list? 'Multimedia Specialist' is showing in the Australian Government Site as in "shortage" for NSW, but the NSW does not show this occupation in its list. Thank you for your videos, they are much appreciated!

The reason I'm in Australia is because my ex-American dad thought Ronald Reagan would start nuclear war with the Soviets in 1980. We tried Auckland first and my mum hated it so we went to Sydney in 1984 lol

Interesting, thanks!

My partner is an ECT with over 5 years of experience overseas and more than 2 years working as an ECT in Australia. However, ACECQA has only recognised her ECT degree (a 4-year program including all required professional practice) as equivalent to a 'Diploma, ' which is now preventing us from applying for permanent residency. When we appealed, the only response we received was, "We have checked, and it is a diploma."

This is incredibly frustrating, especially given the current shortages and, most importantly, the effort and dedication she is putting into her work.

Get an Electrician/Plumber licence. They are in high demand in Australia and skill with least point requirement in Australia.

I am a social worker I could not get an invite even though the minimum cutoff was 70. What could be the possible reason EOI filed on 04/07/24
