The Pixel 3a has been out for just about a month now and it has the same great camera that the Pixel line of devices has been known for in addition to be relatively low-cost. But if you're seriously looking into the low-cost device, you should know that it's not all sunshine and rainbows and I outline three comprises you'll make by purchasing the Pixel 3a or 3a XL.

QOTD: If you're in the market for a cell phone, what device(s) are you choosing between? For me, the OnePlus 7 Pro is THE Android phone to beat due to it's exceptional build quality, but I am waiting for a new Pocophone F2.

Have to disagree with you on certain points...to go straight to video just hard press camera icon, you should always apply a decent glass screen protector anyway on any phone, in day to day use the processor is fine just don't keep multiple applications open in the background that are not needed, wireless charging can be convenient but not essential.yes the camera not as versatile as others but at this price point I'd sooner have one great camera than 2 or 3 Len's but are mediocre.

I thought long and hard about getting a 3a, as I *love* Stock Android and am just settling back into Android after 3 years on iOS. How much did I miss Swiftkey ;O)
Have to agree with you about the glass. You're not the 1st person to mention scratches and I'm betting you won't be the last. I settled on a much cheaper Sony phone, which has Gorilla Glass 5 on it, although I *still* had a Screen Protector fitted *just* to be sure!
I'm also not a fan of rear Fingerprint Scanners either, as I like to be able to open phones while they're lying on their backs and to not have to pick them up every single time I want to do something, this I could do with my 6s and with the side mounted Fingerprint Sensor on the Sony.
Maybe if the 3a was £299, it would be more tempting.
But, I may wait till the 4a comes out *next* year! 😉

I'm loving pixel 3a XL and I do recommend it to lots of people I find the phone fast and have no problem with the 670 the screen is great the only time I have any problem is in really bright sunlight but I have the same problem with the note 9 .speakers are great and I'm not bothered about water resistant as I've never put my phone in water.the battery life is great beating my note 9 easily .I also like that it's made of plastic as I'm not so bothered if I did drop it and I have a case on so you cannot really tell I put a screen protector straight on it because I've heard the glass is not as good quality.overall I'm really happy with it and it does everything I need a smart phone to do I do miss wireless charge but it does have quick charge so that compensates for that 😊

FIrst- 4 gigabytes of Ram is more than enough if you are a regular user (which mostly you are if you are gonna pay 400$ for a phone)
Second- the display is OLED which is the best display you could get in the price range
Third- not all high end devices have wireless charging. for example take the best phone right now (one plus 7 pro), it doesn't have wireless, but fast charging.
Honestly, I thought you gonna mention the performance issues you didnt which is quite a surprise for me!!!
