"Solipsism" is a fancy word for the belief that only the self exists. In the context of romantic love, the only self that exists is the merged unity of the lover and the loved one. Romance is a spell that the lover casts to draw the loved one away from reality -- away from anything that would break the spell -- into a universe of two. In this universe, the poor man can be king.

Because love is the only cure to the endless loneliness of existence. When you realize that there's no other, you must imagine the other, because when there's no other - then there's no one to give your love to. That's way everything exists, just in order for god to share love with itself, miracously dividing itself into apparent "two". (i know for sure, because i am it). And here notion of love comes way beyond its romantic notion.

Life is a choice and free will does exist. There are also several types of love. Be it self-love, conditional love and unconditional love. Life is also a journey so we can fall into something that we think we want but it's actually bad for us. That's conditional love. People believe what they want to believe ( hence, religion). And people love who they want to love. You can try to explain it, study it, deconstruct it. But ultimately, it is difficult to predict or understand.

Philosophically speaking regarding Solipsism, wouldn’t the example of the romantic lovers be the same as…state propaganda? Granted it’s an institution not another human, however, the ideas you abstracted, “us vs. the world” can be applied to any identity a person has.

As much I like or even love someone, I have my limits. I cannot be around one person all the time. My ex and I had this problem. My ex was a perfect person in personality except she wanted too much of my time. She was kind, funny, smart, and hard working. That being said. Women arent usually on any spell. Men are the one on spells and deluded. That is why men pay for all the dates, initiate the vast majority dates while facing rejections, and plans all the dates. If it was a business, if one side is paying for everything, planning, and initiating all the connections, and this side will be a complete idiot for running their business with their partner who just showing up. 70% divorces are initiated by women and their even thing that call out men for being so deluded over women. They are simps.
