What is fiat currency? What is commodity currency? What is sound money? What is the currency of the future in 2021? Here we reflect on what the gold standard used to be and how the United States Dollar used to be an asset backed currency. Will fiat currency last? What is intrinsic value? These are all questions we go over here. The more we know the more we can be prepared for the future of money. Thank you for tuning in!

Good job on getting this channel up and running! I have to get my brother to subscribe to this too, he has a big safe full of silver . I've been saying for awhile that precious metals are going to start taking off in value very soon with all the money printing we are doing. I am contemplating throwing 30k between gold and silver. If nothing else, it is just fun to look at ! Keep up the great work.

This may be a dumb question, I am a sheep when it comes to this stuff, if we were to have kept the bills with the gold certificate on them stating your $50 bill was worth that amount in gold, and the government acquired say 4x the amount of gold they had before that bill was printed they could then print 4x the bills saying there is gold backing them. But if they acquired 4x gold and didn't print any more bills would our bills stay valued at $50 worth of gold or would the government have a surplus of gold and our bill would now be worth more since there was more gold and no additional bills printed? Could we ever actually go back to gold backed bills? I feel like we are so far down in this hole that trying to get back to a level area would be basically impossible at this point without the biggest crash in our history. Thanks for the videos, I am binging multiple today.

The reason for not having higher denominations is due to counterfeiting. It is more lucrative to counterfeit 1 $10, 000 bank note than 100 $100 bank notes.

Dieselgate caused the fall in Platinum thanks to VW but medical devices a d EV's will take up the slack! A catalytic converter in a diesel passenger vehicle typically uses three to seven grams of platinum compared with around 30-60 grams currently needed for a fuel cell for the same vehicle, according to analysts at Reuter's . We will see if this is true at the Tesla battery day.
