Watching these older movies made me realize that my grandparents lived through this era. Wish I had realized it so I could have questioned them about it.

I met a 99 year old teamster two blocks from my place in Phoenix.He drove a team to Arizona and got married to nice lady and settled down .He became a guard at Arizona State Pen in Florence Arizona.He was responsible for going after escapees.Never lost one or had to kill anyone.Those who knew him kept in touch after doing their time.Mr.Slater was his name .And a finer man one will never meet.RIP Mr.Slater.

This a classic western. Scott & Hayes are top notch. The script is entertaining and the code of the west is evoked across the story-line. Thanks for posting.

I am 63 and have been loving westerns since childhood watching Rawhide with Clint and Wishbone!! Anybody recall that show? My hope is that the younger generations can seek out old classics like this. It just may happen with Hollywoods recent interest in producing the western genre again.

Work hard and persevere and eventually triumph of greedy& evil people. The American way!! Randolf Scott is #3 on my list of all-time favorite(deceased) actors!!!

The little girl was played by Karolyn Grimes who is best known for playing little Zuzu Bailey in the 1946 Jimmy Stewart classic 'It's A Wonderful Life.' Her famous line at the end of the movie "Look Daddy. Teacher says, 'every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings!'" (Born July 4, 1940. 82 years old at this writing.)

I like Randolph Scott better than John Wayne. Read his bio on Wikipedia. He was a great actor who did dozens of high quality films - his last in 1962 with another western hero icon of the era Joel McCrea in 'Ride the High Country.' A cult classic!

This is really a good ole movie, and it's loaded with Era and Genre' Stars. Stars that remain well known and favorites of those whom grew up with afternoon Westerns, or came to develop a liking for them through Parents or by discovery.
