Two recipients of the 2018 Harvey Prize have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2020: The 2020 Nobel Prize for chemistry has been awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna “for the development of a method for genome editing".
The prestigious Harvey Prize for science and technology was awarded on Nov. 3, 2019 at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology to Prof. Emmanuelle Charpentier, Prof. Jennifer Doudna, and Prof. Feng Zhang, who developed the groundbreaking genetic editing technology CRISPR-Cas9, and to Prof. Christos H. Papadimitriou, one of the founding fathers of algorithmic game theory.
