Lecture 17: Miller OTA: Eliminating RHP zero; source follower (VCVS); zero cancelling resistor
Показать описание
This lecture explains techniques to eliminate the RHP zero plaguing the two-stage Miller OTA. The techniques stem from the observation that using a VCVS will render the feedforward path inactive, motivating the use of a source follower. It is noted that the finite output resistance of the source follower introduces an LHP zero improving the phase margin further. Observing that the output swings are limited by the source follower, motivates removing the buffer and add only a series resistor in series with the compensation capacitor.
