In this unit, you will start using cameras in ROS and use the cmvision package for blob tracking. Once you get the hang of it, then in Unit 2, you will go deeper in how this blob tracking is done and how the image can be processed.

Basically, you are going to learn how to build the example from the previous unit.

[ About the Course ]
Perception is probably one of the most important things when we talk about autonomy. In this course you will learn how perception is performed by robots using the ROS Framework.

[ You will learn ]
- Use OpenCV with ROS
- Make robots track objects by their colour blobs
- Make robots navigate following floor lines with only a RGB camera
- Make robots detect human faces and track them
- Make robots recognise different faces
- Make robots track a person through a 3D environment
- Make robots recognise flat surfaces, like tables where objects might be placed
- Make robots recognise objects and track them in a 3D space with PointCloudSensors

[ Robots Used in this course ]
- Mira Robot for Blob Tracking
- TurtleBot for line following
- Fetch Robot for people and object tracking, and detection in different environments.
- Aibo Robot for the Final Project

[ Requirement before starting this course ]
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Robotics Perception Basic Knowledge (only for a smoother experience)
- Some knowledge of how PIDs work

Can i use a Kinect for knowing the position of an object to pick and picking that with moveit? (I'm using ROS Kinetic and OpenNI for the Kinect)

Doesnt even work beyond ROS hydro. cmvision library not avavilable
