Apple’s phones are overpriced to begin with. Unless, they start coming out with real innovation, then yeah, they need to reduce the prices, or start making budget phones like everyone else.

I think Apple made a mistake by making 4 models a year. They should go back and do what they did with the 6, 7, 8 where they made two models (the original and plus) with distinct features. Furthermore, they need to resurrect the mini frame as the SE since there are those who like the smaller format…and come out with new versions every 3-4 years….and then make a rugged phone every 4 years. The biggest problem (for me) is their batteries…or lack there of compared with other brands. We are all dependent on these devices and all companies are aware of that…but instead of investing in battery technology…they all make us buy accessories to try and keep these things run 24/7…..but it’s just my 2 cents

The problem Apple have is if they make a “budget phone” say an SE4 based on say an iPhone 12 with one main camera and a more modern A15 bionic wont it eat into the IPhone 15 sales especially if they look almost identical. The SE4 will have to be priced so high you may as-well buy a 15 or a risk a refurbished/used 13 or 14. That’s why there so much demand for “used” iPhones as there simply no really viable budget option from Apple themselves. Current SE lineup is somewhat of a joke in 2024.

it was expected that iphone sales will go down since the 15 series isn't any different from the 14 and 13 ones anyways so the next series should be different
