If anyone is interested, the ‘long dark tunnel’ sample is from a late 80s QED documentary about near death experiences. Super interesting!

I found it. I heard this song waaay back in the mid 90s when the adults turned my sisters 8th birthday party into a rave at our house in France. We had french people walking in from across the fields to see what the hell was going on.

Without doubt. The absolute club shaker. This was the biggest tune ever in my eyes and one that will always get me shuffling (aged 48)

I’m 18 and get goosebumps every time I listen to this. So glad my dad introduced me to jungle as a kid...

The single best hardcore, jungle, drum & base tune ever.
That beat, still nothing like it today or since.

I had this on tape when i was a kid back in 1994. It was super rare and quite difficult to get a copy of without it being mixed. Bu for a 10 pack of Embassy No.1 i would copy it onto a fresh tape using my Dad's dual-casette recorder and sling them in the school playground! 😆

I was having a sesh about 20 years ago with my mates all out of our nuts with 3rd degree gurns with the telly on. From what I can remember, it was a disabled woman in a wheelchair, and she dropped the long dark tunnel line that they made as a sample and put it in the tune. We all jumped out our chairs gobsmacked. Ashtrays and beers went everywhere. Bong went over the lot. If only we had rewind and decent phones back then. Good times. 🎉😂❤

I was a 14 YO kid when this track came out. I was glued to community radio every Friday night to hear the freshest beats, with no idea of any scene, or how these tracks would change the world of music & endure the test of time.
I love reading people’s warm memories & the feelings music brings them.

I can't believe Andy C was 16 when he made this track, in a time when sequence programs were tedious and took a lot of work to produce. Now any moron can make a bit of noise. Hype mixing and scratching it into his set at Helter Skelter with GQ and MC MC is still one of the best sets any DJ has ever mixed on three decks and vinyl.
