Chennai school pays tribute to pregnant elephant

A school in Chennai paid a heartwarming tribute to the pregnant elephant who died in Kerala recently. The staff of the Everwin School in Chennai lit 2,500 candles in the shape of an elephant with text that read 'we are sorry'. This was their way of offering condolences to the animal and highlighting the extent of animal cruelty that she was subject to.
