Those first notes gave me chills. Watching this for the first time in 2024 stirs up a lot, and already that first year of quarantine feels a world away. I just want to say, as non-denominationally as possible, bless you, to each and every one of you, and bless those who can't be with us today.

I was on life support for 4 days in January of 2020 with double pneumonia after contracting the flu. Ever since my recovery it was my biggest fear that my mother would catch COVID-19. That fear has come to pass and we bury her next Saturday. When will this ever end and why must we keep repeating the same mistakes. I am bawling like a child at the words to this song and can't get past how much I want to share it with my mother, but I can't, because she's the reason that I am bawling at the words to this song. Thank you OKGO for helping me get rid of some emotional toxins. I shall come back here often.

A detail that I think goes overlooked is that the video feeds of the four of them clapping at 0:43 plays uninterrupted until the very end of the video when they reveal the time and walk outside. OK Go planning things out even in quarantine

Even with limits to what they could film/edit, they still made it entertaining and interesting, especially with the reveal that the four performances were synced at the end and leading into the thank you to healthcare workers

This song is so good, it made me cry so much when it came out.
I was just graduating from med school when the pandemic started and soon found myself in the middle of it. I saw a lot of patients with a severe form of covid daily, and I saw a lot of them die. Not being able to make them feel better really made me feel miserable, we had so little knowledge about the disease and vaccines were not developed yet. I had an inmense fear to be the one who would spread covid to my family because at the time that could mean death. So I became completely isolated from them in my own house, I washed my hands so much that I tore my skin, and my face was always red from wearing a n95 mask all day (which I was thankful for having), I was nearly obsessed with desinfection. I felt like a menace to my loved ones and I felt burned out after some time.
The phrase "everything's untouched but forever changed" got to me because at that time I felt like things would never be the same again. It sums up how in such a short period of time a microorganism we couldn't even see showed us how fragile humans can be.
Our everyday activities couldn't be our everyday activities anymore and we suddenly found ourselves alone. This made me appreciate the people I love so much.
