Inspiration behind this video:

Dune: Prophecy, Max's upcoming TV show set in Denis Villeneuve's Dune movie universe, has a lot of ground to cover. Set 10,000 years before the events depicted in Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two, the series focuses on the founding of the Bene Gesserit sect. Even so, there are many other questions Dune: Prophecy must answer. Of course, there are also several key threads that were cut from Villeneuve's movies that the TV series must address — not just for the good of Dune's lore, but in order to properly set up the filmmaker's highly anticipated Dune 3.

Key to Dune: Prophecy's impressive cast of characters are Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson), the leader of the newly founded Bene Gesserit Sisterhood, and Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams), Valya's sister and fellow Bene Gesserit adept. While the main focus will be on the Harkonnen sisters and other Bene Gesserit acolytes, members of the Corrino Empire will also play a key role. Needless to say, the prequel series sets the stage for Paul Atreides' (Timothée Chalamet) epic story, but Dune: Prophecy also needs to properly introduce a crucial faction that Villeneuve failed to include in his movies.

I can't wait for part 3. Part 2 had me on edge of my seat. Watched it 6 times so far and rewatched 1 again (then part 2 for last time) just to make sure I got every scene on point. So far I think director did a damn great job putting everything together and making sure audience follows everything. I didn't feel this way before part 2 came out but I knew part 1 could only do so much so I made myself wait b4 I gave my opinion. Thank God I was not let down

I feel like he's got to have rewritten the entire next film. He changed a fair bit towards the end of Dune Part 2 so parts of Dune Messiah won't make sense. I also think they'll completely ignore almost everything of the second trilogy and end the series with Paul, instead of his son.

dont think 2026 is realistic. If they're fully basing Dune 3 off of Dune Messiah, they have to wait till Chalamet gets older in the face. In Dune 1, he looked like a baby. Dune 2, he looked a little more grown up even though, the events happened over the course of a few months in the film.

I, personally, would have preferred, at this point, for the book to be divided into three parts, rather than two. For two reasons: 1-Because Glossu (The Beast) has become a recurring antagonist who has never been the main antagonist, which, personally, I don't like. A similar character, then, should have been the main antagonist at least once, in my opinion. Considering that the book was a single story in which the 4 antagonists (and not only) all appeared together. For Shaddam IV, however, there would have been the possibility of adapting at least part of the prequel saga. Unless Glossu can be considered the true main antagonist of the first movie (also because he's the only one who have a villainous breakdown). In that case, however, they could just to adapt the prequel saga in two parts too, so as to also make Vladimir the main antagonist. 2-Because the book is divided into three parts as well (at least in my country): The first part is called "The planet of the dunes", the second "Muad'dib" and the third "The prophet". It could have been there. Considering that they have confirmed that this live-action saga will become a trilogy, but the third movie, clearly, cannot be called "Dune-Part 3", unlike the others.
