My daughter dragged me to a Switchfoot concert about 15 years ago. I went there dreading it and left a huge fan.

A Walk to Remember was my introduction to Switchfoot. I remember asking who was singing Only Hope during the wedding scene and going from there. I bought a three disc compilation of the 1st three albums, and I was hooked. So much so that Switchfoot's Only Hope was the first dance song for our wedding. Thanks for your great music!

Nostalgia hits hard with this one. When I was 15 I broke my neck in a car accident. While semi bed ridden all summer I listened to all of the Switchfoot albums on my MP3 player on repeat. I would marathon through all of them at a time. Got me through the pain and depression.

Can I just say, this is my favorite song of all time.
It is so beautiful.
It has comforted me ever since I was a teenager and now in my mid 30’s it’s still just as powerful. This song has such a special place in my heart.

My mom also loves it and we sing it together. ❤️

I first saw Switchfoot as they opened for Third Day in Northern NJ in 1997. I walked in to see Third Day and walked out with a Switchfoot poster and CD. Been a fan ever since Jon. Appreciate you sharing with us during these unusual times. Thank you for yesterdays and todays (apostrophes excluded purposefully). :)

@jonforeman This song was popular at the most important time of my life. I was in the US military stationed in Fort Stewart, Georgia. 1999 was the year my father passed away, and I was not able to be by his side because I was in the army full time 24/7. I had to take furlough to able to attend my fathers funeral. I was so shaken up that my Company Commander and 1st Sergeant had to fly me in by airplane because I was so torn up inside and could not drive myself back home to view my father one last time. Thank you Jon for playing this song . It's one of my favorite Switchfoot songs.You have the best heart ❤️Jon Foreman.♥️❤️
